One of the most widely known sitcoms to have ever been created is ‘Friends.’ Even if you haven’t seen it, it’s likely you’ve heard about it somewhere or from someone. It’s hard not to when the show starred with a cast of names like Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, and Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer, who each went on to have relatively successful careers, some more than others.

Now, according to E! News, after 15 years since the show’s finale, Warner Bros. has decided to partner up with Fathom Events for the quarter century anniversary of the show’s premier on NBC back in 1994.

The special event is aptly named “Friends 25th: The One With the Anniversary,” and it will consist of a screening in theaters, of 12 fan-favorite episodes over the course of three nights. What makes it more special is that audiences will get to see never-before-seen behind-the-scenes content, interviews, and other bonus content. The event will be made available to over a thousand movie theaters across the country over the three nights that are scheduled for September 23, September 28 and October 2.

Fathom Events CEO Ray Nutt released a statement sharing his excitement for the event saying, “We’re thrilled to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Friends, a TV show that continues to impact culture and attract fans from across generations.” Lisa Gregorian, president and chief marketing officer of Warner Bros. Television Group, likewise released a statement sharing similar enthusiasm and praise for the event saying, “It is so amazing to know that the series is still bringing people of all ages together. We could not be more excited to deliver these digitally remastered episodes to theaters.”

The anniversary celebrations extend past this partnership with Fathom Events as the Tribeca TV Festival in New York City will host a conversation and a screening of a couple episodes of the show with the executive producers Marta Kauffman, David Crane and Kevin Bright. The episodes set to be screened before the panel discussion on Friday, September 13, will be “The One with the Embryos” and “The One Where Everybody Finds Out.”

There will also be a ‘Friends’ pop-up experience with props and set recreation in New York and Lego will be releasing a Central Perk set that even includes all the cast as LEGO figures. So, there’s plenty of ways for fans to join in the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the show that ran for a decade on NBC between 1994-2004.
