Presently dating has gone viral with a long list of different dating sites, and let’s be honest it’s hard to find prince charming the old-fashioned way by just meeting out in the world (face-to-face) for the first time.

It’s a struggle for most women who wish to settle down, and are looking for love, for the one. And it’s hard to find the right guy, and as mentioned in Page Six, there seems to be a shortage of men.

Recently, famous fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg gave some invaluable dating advice to New York women, according to Page Six. However, that advice could be taken by women not specifically in the Big Apple, but all over the country and possibly the world. She said, “It is not cute to be needy and chase after a man. The man should be chasing you.”

Further, Furstenberg did say, “I don’t know if there is a shortage of men in New York…The question is, are you having fun? That is all that matters. Then you meet the right one, so just have fun,” according to Page Six.

DVF also said, “I wanted a man’s life in a woman’s body. That was my dream…the most important relationship in life is the one you have with yourself.”

This comes at a time when self care and mental health is becoming more and more prominent. Diane von Furstenberg enjoyed life one step at a time, and eventually found the man she married business mogul Barry Diller in 2001, according to Page Six.

Her advice does bode well with the times, and it could be hard to find one’s true love. But, it could be harder if you end up finding the wrong person in the end and feel unhappy and regretful. So, it looks like it’s better to be patient, and tread carefully in the dating pool.
