Once upon a time, three brothers from New Jersey by the names of Joe, Nick, and Kevin started a band. In 2005, they recorded their first song “Please Be Mine” which landed them pen to paper at Columbia Records. Subsequently, the brothers’ band took on the name Jonas Brothers and went on to release four albums before their eventual break-up in 2013.

Flash forward 10 years later, after the release of, what up to until recently seemed to be their last album, “Lines, Vines and Trying Times,” they have gotten the band back together in February and followed this with the release of their fifth studio album, “Happiness Begins” this summer. It looks like the brothers will be quite busy for the coming months as they embark on their Happiness Begins Tour that is set to kick off August 7th in Miami and conclude February 22nd in Paris this coming year.

With so much hype around their reunion, new song and new tour, they are also going to be honored at the 2019 Teen Choice Awards. The distinguished honor the Jonas Brother are set to receive is called the Decade Award, which has been previously awarded to widely known actor and musician Justin Timberlake in 2016 and Maroon 5 in 2017.

The Jonas Brothers have also been nominated in five other categories at this year’s Teen Choice Awards with nominations as: Choice Pop Song, Choice Music Group, Choice Song: Group, Choice Summer Song and Choice Summer Group. They have also won before during a solid run from 2008 to 2019 where they took home a total of 15 Teen Choice Awards.

The awards will be hosted by actress Lucy Hale from “Pretty Little Liars” and David Dobrik famous for his work on YouTube and The Vlog Squad. So, you can watch the Jonas Brothers on air live during the 2019 Teen Choice Awards August 11th at 8 p.m. ET broadcasted on FOX.
