Kanye West: singer, songwriter, fashion designer and … President of the United States?
Apparently, Khloe Kardashian wants the world to know who she will be voting for in the 2020 presidential election. The new mom was seen out and about with sister Kourtney Kardashian in Calabasas, California, wearing a beige – this season’s trendy color, btw – “Kanye For President” hat. According to ET, during a VMA Vanguard acceptance speech in 2015, West first expressed his interest in running for president, and a month after the award show, West told Vanity Fair that he was “definitely” still interested in becoming the new POTUS. He said, “I didn’t approach that because I thought it would be fun. It wasn’t like, ‘Oh, let’s go rent some jet skis in Hawaii.’ No, the exact opposite. I sit in clubs and I’m like, ‘Wow, I’ve got five years before I go and run for office and I’ve got a lot of research to do. I’ve got a lot of growing up to do.’”
And in August, West said in an interview with Chicago’s Power 92 radio station, “If I decide to do it, it will be done.” He sure doesn’t lack confidence.
It’s also no secret that West admires President Donald Trump. ET reported in October last year that the outspoken entrepreneur met with Trump in the Oval Office. West also tweeted back in April, “You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.” Trump replied, “Thank you Kanye, very cool!”
If you want the world to know who your presidential pick is going to be, you might as well do it in style.
