Attention everyone, Meghan Markle’s baby is almost here!

In fact, the royal baby is due in just a few months, according to a source. And while we’re excited about every little detail having to do with how they are planning on raising their firstborn, we can’t help but admit that their darling will grow up living the fancy life.

Meghan Markle hasn’t always been a part of the royal club; her lifestyle was pretty down to earth. Markle was raised by her hardworking parents and without any help from full-time nannies. So, we can’t help but wonder whether Meghan and Harry will hire a nanny to watch over their own children, like Kate Middleton and Prince William.

Or will they raise their kids on their own?

It’s uncertain whether the couple plans on employing a full-time babysitter. Even though Kensington Palace has not confirmed any details on Meghan and Harry’s childcare plans, the renovations at Frogmore Cottage have given a few hints and clues. The royal parents-to-be are transforming the employee quarters of their new place in Windsor so they can house a live-in nanny and security, according to The Daily Mail.

Looking back, after Prince George was born, William and Kate hired Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo to be their nanny. However, she isn’t just some typical nanny; she could even be another Mary Poppins.

Perhaps she even lives by Poppin’s motto: “In every job that must be done there is an element of fun.”

Furthermore, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo was trained at the Norland School for nannies, and part of that training includes self-defense, anti-terrorism techniques, and even defensive driving. Talk about a super nanny, eh?

And would you be surprised if we told you that royal nannies make a lot of money? Graduates from Norland School reportedly earn about £75,000 a year or over $100,000.

We didn’t forget about Doria, Meghan Markle’s mother, either. According to The Daily Mail, “it is believed Doria will stay with the Sussexes on a regular basis when she comes to visit her new grandchild.” They’d also like her to have a place of her own in their Windsor home. So, Doria will very likely be helping out with the childcare duties.

There have also been multiple inaccurate reports that the royal couple had already hired so-called “celebrity nanny” Connie Simpson to help raise their baby. The claims have been disproved by Simpson’s rep, confirming to Access Hollywood that “Mrs. Simpson has not spoken with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex nor has she been engaged by them.”

With royalty comes royal choices. Do you think Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will take the plunge and employ a royal nanny to take care of their child? Read more about this story on Cosmopolitan here.
