Meghan Markle is a modern royal in more ways than one. And according to InStyle, it seems her modern ways may not necessarily be well received, especially by the royal staff.

In the six months since becoming a royal, Meghan Markle has gone away from royal protocol with her wardrobe, (think pantsuits), and certain rules of etiquette (remember when she shut her own car door?). Now, her strong work ethic is causing a little bit of a rift with royal staff, making them uncomfortable, according to the Daily Mail.

“It is said palace staff have never experienced anything remotely like Meghan’s formidable work ethic, matched only by the incessant stream of ideas about how to shape her role,” reports the publication.

They also report that the Duchess wakes up pretty much at the crack of dawn, at 5 a.m. and begins to send the palace aids around six or seven texts of requests or ideas she has. Seems a little early for all that, doesn’t it?

This also comes shortly after news broke that Meghan’s personal assistant quit unexpectedly. Apparently, other aides have left the palace since the Duchess’ arrival as well.  However, there could be a million reasons why. Either way, it seems safe to say feminism has arrived at the palace.
