With heightening drama between teammates Draymond Green and Kevin Durant, Durant seems to be done with the drama that comes with playing for multiple championship winners the Warriors. In fact, according to a report in The Athletic, Durant has already made up his mind to leave the Warriors after this season.

A video surfaced of Durant talking to a teammate after a loss to the Clippers where you can see him mouth the words, “That’s why I’m out.”

This all started when Green got a one-game suspension for calling Durant a “b***h” repeatedly following the team’s defeat in Los Angeles. The NBA took this situation seriously, not only by suspending Green but also slapping him with fine.

The fight between the two started after Durant yelled at Green, upset that Green didn’t pass him the ball during the final minutes of a game in overtime. The team lost after Green turned the ball over. The fight between the teammates continued into the locker room, The Athletic reported that Green “brought up Durant’s impending free agency and the team’s annoyance that Durant continues to let the subject linger instead of insisting on focusing on the season.”

When Durant was asked if he and Green had been able to “hash anything out,” after a winning game in Atlanta, he responded, “Nah,” and added “I’m sure we will. Got a long season ahead.”

When asked what happened between the two, Durant responded, “I’m going to keep that in-house. That’s what we do here. Obviously I know you guys got a job to do, but I’m not trying to give headlines. What happened, happened. We’re trying to move on, play basketball.”

When head-coach Steve Kerr was asked about the feud, he responded optimistically, “I think we’ll be fine. We’re a team that goes through stuff, just like everybody else. And things happen, bumps in the road. You’ve got to move forward. It’s all part of coaching a team, it’s all part of being on a team. You have to get through the adversity and there are some difficult times and you just get through them.”

An anonymous player told The Athletic, “With what was said, there is already no way Durant is coming back. The only hope is that they can say this summer, ‘See, KD. We’ve got your back. We protected you from Draymond.’”
