Some know Zendaya from Disney Channel’s show Shake It Up, others know her as singer and model and for her unique sense of style. Previously, the 22-year-old has even had her own clothing line called Daya by Zendaya, which she created with stylist Law Roach, according to Glamour. And now, she’s stepping up her designer game even more in a collaboration with fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger.

Moreover, Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman (her full name) is now Tommy Hilfiger’s newest global women’s ambassador. Basically, the new face of the company, replacing Gigi Hadid. She’ll be working alongside the American designer on a capsule collection which will come out Spring 2019. In a recent press release, Hilfiger revealed that he enjoys collaborating with passionate people who are set on making their dreams a reality and inspire others to do so too. He also noted that, “Zendaya has become a global icon, using fashion to make bold statements while always staying true to herself. Our capsule collection will fuse her eclectic style with the Americana spirit of our brand.” To Zendaya, fashion is more than just “cool clothes,” it’s self-expression and individuality. She also noted in a press release that fashion is “extremely empowering.” The actress celebrated the new gig by posting a photo of herself with Hilfiger and her longtime stylist Roach. We aren’t sure what pieces to expect from the upcoming collection, but the brand’s Instagram announced the partnership have a major ’60s vibe, with references to several zodiac signs. Hilfiger states that the pieces will be the products of Zendaya’s own brain and sense of style: “In our collaborations, we’ve found that we take as much information, inspiration and direction from the collaborators as possible. We really want to infuse the collection with their ideas. They are really the target consumer. And one of the reasons we’ve chosen the girls that we’ve chosen is they have very specific ideas about what the looks should be. And it really helps us evolve our brand.” Tommy x Zendaya is expected to launch in February as a “see-now-buy-now” spring line.
