No need for a personal travel assistant thanks to Google’s “Trips” app. The new app will be available on Android and iOS and will serve as your very own trip planner and travel guide. It will help organize your plane tickets and hotel reservations, and offer editorial guides to more than 200 cities. If you’re exploring a new place, you can make your own personalized itinerary for each day of your trip. You won’t ever miss out on those must-see spots ever again.

No Wi-Fi, no problem. This is a big feature for many of us traveling internationally since Wi-Fi isn’t always so accessible. Google Trips allows you to work offline, so just don’t forget to download everything on your phone before you leave. No need to worry about having internet or using data, to get directions.

The Trips app is taking it one step further and not only will it replace the need for a travel assistant, but it can help you replace the need of a travel agent. It pieces together the on-and-off research you’ve been doing to help you plan “potential trips,” Richard Holden, Google’s VP of product management, revealed at the Skift Global Forum.

The app is slated to launch in the next few weeks and will help you actually book that trip you ‘ve researched and planned, to say Rome. All the research you have done will be saved when you log back on to Google and will be under “Potential trip to Rome.” You can then pick off where you left off.

Google already provides pre-planning “travel assistance” which suggest the perfect time to book a hotel for the best price, or what to do based on weather conditions. It has the power to troll your digital footprint to make trip recommendations. A bit creepy, or just what you need?

The app, which has been two years in the making, worked on further perfecting users travel experience. Read the full story from Condé Nast Traveler here.
