According to the NY Post, Christine Blasey Ford, 51, a research psychologist at Palo Alto University in California told The Washington Post that Brett Kavanaugh, while his friend watched, pinned her to a bed, groped her over her clothes, tried to pull off her one-piece bathing suit, and covered her mouth as she tried to scream.

“I thought he might inadvertently kill me,” Ford said. “He was trying to attack me and remove my clothing.”

Ford explained she was able to escape when Kavanaugh’s friend jumped on top on them and they all tumbled. She then ran from the room, briefly locked herself in the bathroom, and fled the house.

Ford was 15 at the time of the incident and Kavanaugh would have been 17.

“My biggest fear was, do I look like someone just attacked me?” she explained, also saying that she remembered thinking, “I’m not ever telling anyone this. This is nothing, it didn’t happen and he didn’t rape me.”

Ford decided to come forward with her story when she knew Kavanaugh would likely be a nominee to replace retiring Justice Anthony M. Kennedy. She emailed the Washington Post anonymously and later decided to come out to the public with her identity.

Ford, under advisement of lawyer Debra Katz, took a lie-detector test about the situation which concluded that Ford was being truthful.

Kavanaugh responded to the allegations saying, “I categorically and unequivocally deny this allegation. I did not do this back in high school or at any time.”

Given these recent allegations, Democrats have called for a delay in the vote on Kavanaugh’s nomination.

Sen. Jeff Flake said he’s “not comfortable voting yes” on Kavanaugh’s nomination coming up, given the allegations. “We need to hear from her. And I don’t think I’m alone in this,” Flake told POLITICO. Both of them are set to testify in court on Monday.
