The Royals: First Comes Marriage, then Comes a Dog

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are expanding their family with a new dog. Is this any indication they are working on expanding their family entirely? Scroll down to see how people around America voted.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry aren’t wasting any time, because it turns out they have already expanded their family. They have a dog! The couple reportedly got the new Labrador earlier this summer.

A source revealed the new pup has joined them at their country getaway in the Cotswolds area and Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace in London, according to People Magazine.

Meghan Markle has long been known as a dog lover, and sadly had to leave one of her dogs behind when the couple got engaged and headed to London from Toronto where she lived. Bogart, a rescue dog and companion to Meghan’s Beagle, Guy, was given to friends.

Guy, has been adjusting to his new royal life and was at her feet as she sat for her hair and makeup the morning of her wedding. In fact, Guy is becoming a popular royal dog. There are two new books in the works about Guy and his fairytale journey from a shelter to Kensington Palace called “The Duchess and Guy,” which you can pre-order now.

Perhaps a royal trend, Prince William and Kate Middleton also expanded their family shortly after their wedding, with a Cocker Spaniel named Lupo. If Prince Harry and Meghan are mirroring Prince William and Kate Middleton, then we know what came next after Lupo – little Prince George. Do you think we can expect a baby soon?

For now, we bet Guy is happy to have a new companion. Prince Harry and Meghan sure are moving things along, so we can’t wait to see what they surprise us with next. Read the full story on People here.
