It’s not easy being the first lady when your husband likes to spend his pastime sharing sweet and short messages about others on Twitter. It’s especially not easy when you try to bring awareness to such an important matter such as cyberbullying.

Melania Trump has been focused on her anti-cyberbullying campaign, Be Best, while Trump has not necessarily been his best. According to a source, right before Melania spoke in front of a panel on preventing cyberbullying, her husband once again tweeted to denounce special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.

Many critics have criticized and even mocked Melania’s efforts in the campaign. It’s clear that the first lady’s office has operated largely independently from that of the president, unlike other first ladies in history. Are Trump’s tweets negatively impacting the first lady’s efforts? 89% of people believe that he is defending himself, while the rest think he’s mocking her message.
