After the rough year Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students had following the shooting massacre from earlier in the year, something special was needed. During their recent graduation ceremony, Jimmy Fallon surprised the crowd and gave a speech to the graduating class.
The Tonight Show host brought out his serious side as he touched everyone’s hearts during his speech. He honored the students who helped lead the March for Our Lives rally, protesting gun laws, after 17 students were killed by gunman Nikolas Cruz. During the ceremony, the graduates wore sashes that read “MSD Strong.”
“Congratulations Marjory Stoneman Douglas Class of 2018! You are not just the future – you are the present. Keep changing the world. Keep making us proud,” Fallon tweeted after his speech.
