There is a New Royal Cake Boss in Town!

Talk about a royal celebration. What better way to celebrate than with cake? Everyone loves cake! A UK- based baker took cake to the next level by creating life-size edible versions of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to celebrate their wedding day. Now, that is a dedication to the crown if there ever was one!

Fancy cakes are hard enough to make as it is- but to make a cake appear like human flesh? This is the task that was assigned by Cake International to baker Lara Mason. Peoplereported that Mason revealed in a press release that the cake can feed over 500 people. It was made with 300 eggs, 33 lbs. of flour, 33 lbs. of butter, and 33 lbs. of sugar. Hello, heaven. I mean seriously- 33 lbs. of butter? That would fill a kiddie size swimming pool.

But it doesn’t stop there. Mason used 10 lbs. of buttercream to put the layers together. Then, she decorated with 44 lbs. of modeling chocolate and 110 lbs. of fondant icing. The features on this cake are reMARKLEable.

From Meghan’s white high heels to Harry’s blazing red beard- Mason’s marvelous creation is one for the books. She spent more than 250 hours on the project and is encouraging others to take up the hobby of sugarcraft. Now that is something we are willing to try. Would you want to see yourself in cake form? Only 29% of people agree that a cake of themselves would be a dream, while 71% of people say it’s too freaky. Come on, people. Cake and yourself- you shouldn’t love anything more.
