Prepare to be shocked! U.K. students are being criticized for failing to be able to read an analog clock. Schools in the United Kingdom are now removing analog clocks since students can’t read and understand them and are installing digital clocks instead.
One of the members of the country’s teacher union, Malcolm Trobe spoke out about the change to explain it. “Schools will inevitably be doing their best to make young children feel as relaxed as they can be,” Trobe said. “There is actually a big advantage in using digital clocks in exam rooms because it is much less easy to mistake a time on a digital clock when you are working against time.” Read more about this story on Insider here.
Has the U.K. failed and given up on students? The news caused an internet roar as many people were in shock and disbelief. 92% of us find what the U.K. schools are doing pathetic, while only 8% say digital is the next generation.
